Job title: Senior Network Automation EngineerOffice location: Serbia with Hybrid working (3 days in the office)About the role and the Team:Main tasks of this role are to integrate automation in network and optimize network management. Success would look like:Automated processes for network maintenanceNetwork management platforms and automation tools integrated with other systems in an optimal wayEfficient network managementMinimal human errors in network operationsWhat will you be doing?Automation through Network Management PlatformsUse Network Management Platforms to optimize network managementDevelop Automation Using Scripting Languages and ToolsDevelop automation scripts based on Python and other scripting languagesDevelop automation based on automation tools (Ansible, Bash, etc.)Integration of Network Management Platforms and Automation Tools with Other SystemsIntegrate Network Management Platforms with other systems (OSS, diagnostic platforms etc.)Analyse and Identify Opportunities for Automation in Network and Operations TeamsUnderstand processes and procedures within Network Operation teamsTranslate manual workflows into designs for automated workflowsKnowledge improvement and mentorshipWhat we are looking for:Engineering based degree ideally in Telecommunications or Computer Science - DESIRABLEGood understanding of IP/TCP, Ethernet technologiesPrevious experience in a telco environment role focused network automationUnderstanding scripting languages and tools (Python, Ansible etc.)Understanding of data serialization formats like JSON, YAML, XMLGood knowledge and experience with NETCONF and RESTCONF protocolsExperience with RESTful APIWhy work for us?We're in your corner and our vision is to be the UK's most loved and desired broadband provider, that shows the way broadband is done!Awarded Broadband Provider of the Year 2023 Uswitch Telecoms Awards, as voted for by 20,000 customers, plus Fair Terms Gold Award 2023.
