Senior Network Specialist

In this role you will own IQM’s global connectivity services and keep our production critical network infrastructure reliable and ready for growthWhat will I be doing?Own IQM’s global connectivity services and take end to end responsibility for reliability and uptimeDesign, develop, and maintain network architecture to support a growing global footprintPlan and drive the network roadmap, including prioritisation and long term improvementsOperate and maintain production critical network infrastructure with a low tolerance for downtimeMonitor network health and performance, and proactively improve availability and stabilityTroubleshoot incidents, analyze logs, identify root causes, and drive preventive actionsPlan and execute upgrades, maintenance windows, and migrations with care and clear communicationMaintain structured and up to date network documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooksWork with vendors, service providers, and consultants, and lead external work when neededCollaborate closely with the IT team, especially the IT development side, plus key stakeholders across the companyWhat skills do I need?5 plus years of experience in network administration in business critical environmentsExperience in network design and architecture planning, including scaling and standardisationStrong knowledge of L2 and L3 networking,Practical experience with some BGP, IPSec, firewalls, and VPN technologies, and confidence to learn the areas you have not owned beforeStrong troubleshooting skills and a calm approach during incidentsNice to haveExperience with monitoring tools and building useful alerting and visibilityScripting skills in Python or Bash, and comfort with Linux basicsExperience with Infrastructure as Code or automation tools such as AnsibleWhat can I expect from IQM?A great opportunity to perform world-class R&D and implement cutting edge technologyCutting-edge manufacturing and laboratory infrastructureSufficient financial backing for ambitious projectsAn opportunity to work with a passionate and diverse team on an important missionA unique opportunity to make a real impact on the future of quantumGrowth and progress in a creative and open start-up environmentMeet our people and hear more about IQM by visiting our Youtube channel here >>We'll proceed with the interviews immediately, so please submit your application soon.At our company, we're on a mission to change the world through quantum computing.
