Job DetailsDescriptionPosition Summary:The Sr. Payroll Associate is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of weekly payroll changes, while providing superior customer service, professionally and confidentially. Primary responsibilities will include supporting the day-to-day functions of the Payroll Department and responding to inquiries from employees and managers. This position must adhere to tight deadlines and requires exceptional time management and organization. This position will report directly to the Payroll Manager.I. Position Responsibilities: EssentialMaintain and update payroll records in WorkdayAssist in payroll reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processesCreating New Hire personnel files on HR Shared DriveBackup for Child Support Withholdings/Garnishment for employeesSupport internal and external audits by providing necessary documentationProcess weekly payroll transmission, including submitting the wire transferGenerate reports requested by other departments in the companyCommunicate with Human Resources, General Managers, and Regional Operations Managers regarding questionsEnsures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates, Direct Deposits, garnishments, and other withholdings.Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.Responsible for assisting with quarterly, semi-annual, and annual state/local/federal government reporting.Assists with document gathering for annual financial auditsThis position is at our Corporate Office and requires the employee to be in the office for regular/predictable hours as directed by the Company. Any other duties assigned by the Payroll ManagerII. Essential Skills/Credentials/Experience/EducationMinimum 3 years’ recent experience with Workday Software Minimum 3 years’ multi-state payroll experienceHigh School Diploma requiredProficient in Microsoft Office and Excel skills requiredSuperior listening, written, and verbal communication skills.Able to effectively and comfortably communicate with all levels of employees, both client-facing and internal.Demonstrates strong organizational/time management skills, a team player who can work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills, adaptability, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.Must be able to read, speak, understand, and write the English languageHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.The position will be physically located in the Atlanta office; working remotely (outside of Company Directed Guidelines) is not permitted.
