Senior Planning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join a growing startup consultancy in Dubai. This role is ideal for a planning professional who thrives in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments and wants to make a significant impact from the ground up. You'll work across diverse construction and infrastructure projects, providing strategic planning expertise to clients throughout the UAE and wider Middle East region.As a senior member of our team, you'll lead planning deliverables, mentor junior staff, and help establish our planning methodologies and best practices as we scale.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project across all project phasesEstablish baseline schedules, critical paths, and milestone tracking frameworksPerform schedule risk analysis, delay analysis, and time impact assessmentsConduct progress monitoring, schedule updates, and variance analysisPrepare detailed planning reports, progress dashboards, and presentations for clients and stakeholdersLead planning meetings and workshops with project teams, contractors, and clientsReview and validate contractor schedules for logic, constructability, and complianceIntegrate planning activities with cost control, risk management, and resource management functionsEstablish and maintain planning standards, templates, and proceduresSupport proposal development and contribute to business development activitiesMentor and develop junior planning engineersRequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldMinimum 8-10 years of planning experience in construction or infrastructure projectsAt least 3-5 years of Middle East experience, preferably in the UAEProven experience on projects valued at AED 500M+Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 (essential)Strong working knowledge of MS Project, Excel, and PowerPointAdvanced understanding of CPM scheduling techniques and delay analysisExperience with at least two project types: high-rise, mixed-use, infrastructure, hospitality, or industrialExcellent analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesStrong commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent English communication skills (written and verbal)Proven ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels
