Senior Project Engineer

📍 Surat Basin | Brisbane / FIFO 💰 $170K–$185K + Super + Uplift (depending on experience)We’re representing a major energy infrastructure contractor delivering high-value gas and water projects across Queensland’s Surat Basin. Due to an internal reshuffle, there’s an immediate opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to step into a key role supporting delivery of gathering, water infrastructure, and compression projects.You’ll play a lead role in project execution, cost and schedule control, QA/QC oversight, and contractor management—working closely with field teams to ensure scope, safety, and schedule are met.This is a great fit for an engineer with a mix of operator and EPC experience, who’s comfortable owning packages from design through to commissioning, and enjoys being close to site delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesManage delivery of gathering and water infrastructure scopes from FEED through to commissioningCoordinate design consultants, subcontractors, and construction teamsOversee QA/QC compliance, testing documentation, and assurance gate deliverablesTrack cost, progress, and risk registers to maintain delivery targetsSupport tendering, change management, and project reportingSkills & ExperienceDegree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Process Engineering6+ years’ experience in oil & gas, water, or infrastructure delivery (operator or EPC background)Exposure to HDPE pipelines, flowlines, and water infrastructure highly regardedProficiency with Primavera P6, Power BI, and MS ProjectStrong stakeholder management and leadership capabilityWhy Apply?You’ll be joining a well-established team delivering critical upstream infrastructure, with a strong safety culture and a reputation for developing their engineers into project leads and managers.
