Initial contract until 08/12/2026 with possible extension paying approx. $1091/dayBrisbane CBD Location with flexibility to WFH 2 days per weekDemonstrated recent ability to successfully deliver ICT Projects in a large, complex government environment within a governance frameworkOur client, Department of Education, are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for an initial 12-mth contract to support the OneSchool Program of work. Position overviewDigital Innovation is a Division with the Department of Education is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to manage ICT Enabled Projects and initiatives. The initial project assignment is to provide a high level of specialist project management support to the OneSchool Program of work within the Digital Innovation Division.The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:Leading a project team to meet project deliverables, objectives and stakeholder expectationsPreparing key project artefacts in accordance with the Department’s governance and framework requirements. g. stakeholder management, resource management, task allocation, reporting, project board requirements, and change management plans and strategies.Developing and executing activities related to end-to-end project management, including project plans and estimates, scoping and requirements through implementation and deployment.Proactively monitoring, managing and reporting on execution of project deliverables.Communicating effectively using multiple methods (verbal, written and nonverbal) and channels with stakeholders, including team and sponsors across multiple aspects of the project.Actively managing the current integrated project schedule ensuring appropriate change management activities are undertaken to enable a smooth transition to BAU.Delivering continuous improvements to the operating model, in consultation with the IT Project Board, Customer and Supplier. Skills and experience required: Demonstrated recent ability to successfully deliver ICT Projects in a large, complex environment within a governance frameworkDemonstrated experience in managing projects using a hybrid Waterfall/Agile implementation methodology.Proven ability to coach and guide stakeholders in Agile practices and principles to facilitate successful project outcomes.Strong capability in maintaining tight governance over Agile artefacts, ensuring alignment with project objectives and adherence to best practices.Previous experience working within complex education or government environments, with a sound understanding of public sector processes and frameworks.Certification or formal qualifications in PRINCE2/PRINCE2 Agile (preferred) or a recognised equivalent project management methodology, with practical application in delivering large-scale transformation projects.To submit your application, in strict confidence, please submit your resume in Word Format using the appropriate link quoting reference No. 247513.  Should you require further information please email kristy.coulter@hudson.com Your interest will be treated in the strictest of confidence.Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at HudsonHudson is committed to helping you find a workplace where you feel respected, supported, and free to thrive.
