Senior Software Engineer - Frontend

Our European client is on the lookout for a talented Frontend Developer to join their team in Sri Lanka.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain web applications using Next.js (React) with a focus on modularity, performance, and user experience.Collaborate with backend and design teams to deliver seamless, API-driven user interfaces.Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility of web applications.Integrate and evolve headless CMS solutions to support modern content workflows.Optimize web performance and maintain high coding standards.Document technical solutions and maintain clear communication across distributed teams.Contribute to the continuous modernization and scalability of the organization's web platform.Qualifications4+ years of hands-on experience with React and modern frontend development.Proven experience with Next.js, Redux, and headless CMS integrations.Strong understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs.Expertise in responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and performance optimization.Proficiency with Git for version control.Familiarity with Figma, Miro, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint for collaboration.Experience working in distributed teams across multiple time zones.Ability to overlap 3-4 hours with European working hours.Strong documentation habits for transparency and knowledge sharing.Familiarity with API-driven architecture is a plus.Experience collaborating within multicultural or international organizations is a plus.Excellent spoken & written English skills to work together with the onsite team in the EU.
