You will bridge the finance and technology departments, ensuring financial systems are efficient, accurate and aligned with business objectives. You will be essential for optimising financial software, managing system integrations and providing data-driven insights to improve financial reporting and support informed business decisions.Duties & ResponsibilitiesFinancial system management: Administering and optimising enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, accounting platforms and other financial softwareData integrity and compliance: Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and accounting standardsTechnical support and troubleshooting: Providing expert support to finance teams, resolving system-related issues and diagnosing errorsProcess automation and improvement: Identifying and implementing automation opportunities and process enhancements to streamline financial operationsTechnology implementation and collaboration: Partnering with IT and Finance teams to implement new financial technologies, system upgrades and integrationsTraining and development: Conducting training sessions for finance staff on financial software and reporting toolsFinancial reporting and analysis: Designing and generating comprehensive financial reports to support business analysis and strategic decision-makingInternal controls and compliance: Ensuring compliance with internal control frameworks and accounting principlesVendor management: Collaborating with external vendors and stakeholders on system-related projectsRequirementsProfessional certification: Holding a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACA, ACCA)ERP system expertise: Proven experience with leading ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or SageAnalytical and problem-solving abilities: Demonstrating strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex technical and financial issuesFinancial reporting proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principlesSoftware and data analysis skills: Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and data analysis toolsProcess improvement and automation: Expertise in identifying and implementing process improvements and automation solutions like lean financeCommunication and collaboration: Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration between finance and IT teamsAttention to detail and accuracy: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracySystem implementation and troubleshooting: Experience in system implementation, upgrades, and troubleshootingBenefitsSalary - £74,000 - £84,000 per annum DOEBonus - 10% annualPension - 4% Employer, 5% EmployeeHybrid working - 3 days onsite, 2 days from homeAn additional day annual leave for your birthdayFree breakfastSociable working hours, no weekends or eveningsEarly Friday finishFun, supportive working environmentDress down office25 days annual leavePension4 x salary life assurance
