This spirit of inclusiveness sits at our core.Your Daily Responsibilities And ImpactDesign, placement, negotiation and servicing of large complex risks (predominantly US based insureds, but not limited to) with the Bermuda Casualty market.Preparation and presentation of proposals for renewal and new business opportunities.Provide senior level specialized services to high profile clients and professional insurance broking staff.Considerable interaction with clients, senior underwriters and overseas executives.Supervision of a team together with responsibility for servicing their own book of business.Travel to industry conferences in conjunction with marketing and presenting Bermuda market intelligence across our retail network of brokers and clients.Business travel and frequent client entertainment outside of normal business hours.Any other duties of a similar nature as identified by senior management.Required Skills And Experience That Will Lead To SuccessA minimum of 15 to 20 years’ recent and relevant experience with an emphasis on major North American commercial accounts across a wide variety of industry classes.Well established relationships across the industry including US based clients, retail brokers, account executives, senior market leaders and underwriters. Extensive knowledge placing complex programs into the excess casualty market as respects large utility, oil and gas refining, pipeline and exploration/production accounts.Expertise in occurrence, occurrence-reported and claims-made liability policy forms.Practical judgement and decision making skills in immediate situations.Well developed business, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills together with capabilities for strengthening market relationships.Advanced analytical, negotiating and presentation skills.Strong digital literacy, specifically with Microsoft Office Software, such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Webex.Preferred Qualifications And ExperienceA University Degree (with a major in business or insurance preferable) or an insurance related qualification (CPCU/ACII/ARM).Experience in managing a team of insurance professionals.How We Support Our ColleaguesIn addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage an inclusive workforce.
