The work focus timeframe is 1 to 5 years, but some plans may have a longer timeframe. In terms of the MSHA it is a 17.2 appointmentRoles And Responsibilities Include The BelowManaging the Activities of the Survey and Evaluation TeamsPlanning monthly Survey and Evaluation requirement and prioritiesCompiling Survey and Evaluation plansSupervising the Survey TeamCompiling, designing and reports and plans appropriate to the Surveying functionImplementing effective controls & proceduresSupervising the measurement of underground production performanceEstablishing on-Mine Survey StandardsCoordinating Effective Usage of EquipmentImplementing measurements and planning systemSupervising legal compliance to procedures and standardsAchieving legal compliance (Survey)Maintaining MPRDA survey legal complianceIssuing survey instructions and notificationsMaintaining DMR plansMonthly reporting according to standardPreparing mine plans (Survey)Ensuring Availability of electronic production Survey plansMaintaining electronic Survey plansMeasuring underground excavationsSummarizing and reporting of measurement informationThis role is at a Band 6/11 level reporting to the Chief SurveyorQualificationsMine Surveyors Certificate of CompetencyAdvantageous: National Higher Diploma or Btech, Graduate Diploma in EngineeringExperience5 years’ experience in Mine surveying in an underground hard rock environmentAdditional experience in Mine Evaluation Knowledge And SkillsCompetent as 17.2 appointmentValid driver’s license code 08Computer literate for necessary systemsAdditional InformationWho We AreWe are a Southern African PGM producer, marketing metals globally, with a presence across 8 regions and 17 sites.
