Our expertise extends to multimodal transport solutions, customs clearance, port security, and environmental sustainability, positioning us as a key player in global trade and logistics.Job Purpose: Officer - Fire is responsible for responding to fire emergencies, ensuring fire safety preparedness, and overseeing the maintenance and functioning of fire services equipment. The role involves leading fire inspections, managing fire crew, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and conducting training to maintain a fire-safe environment at the port.ResponsibilitiesEmergency Response Preparedeness:Attend all fire emergency calls and guide fire crew in standby duties, inspections, monitoring, and emergency calls.Fire Preparedness InspectionsConduct daily site rounds to inspect fire safety and emergency preparedness across all work locations.Work Permit VerificationVerify work permits for fire safety compliance in operational areas.Documentation & ReportingPrepare daily activity reports, first information reports (FIR) for fire incidents, and document findings and actions.SOP Compliance & AuditsEnsure implementation of fire services standard operating procedures (SOPs), and conduct regular audits and inspections of work areas and buildings.Training & Safety AwarenessProvide fire safety training to fire staff, contractors, and company employees.Equipment Testing & MaintenanceConduct hydrotests and refill SCBA cylinders and fire extinguishers. Ensure the proper functioning of fire water pumps and perform weekly pump tests. Oversee the maintenance schedule for fire services equipment, including fire pumps and extinguishers.Digital MindsetKeep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.Team DevelopmentPromote a respectful and safe workplace, lead collaborative and productive teams, and mentor for growth and success.Key Stakeholders - InternalFire and Safety Teams, Facility Management Teams, Operations and Maintenance TeamsKey Stakeholders - ExternalFire Equipment Vendors, Local Fire Departments, Emergency Service ProvidersQualificationsEducational Qualification:Graduation/Sub Fire Officer Course, Diploma in industrial SafetySub Fire Officer Course(Grade I or AI Fire is preferable but not mandatory)Work ExperienceMinimum 8 - 10 years of experience in Fire Service in Manufacturing industry / port industry.
