Job DescriptionJob Role: Shift Superintendent - CTUSECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOB ROLEJob Role Variant: Shift Superintendent - ElectricalManager Job Position: Production Manager PlantValue Stream: Asset OperationsJob Family: ManufacturingSECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLEOperation & Maintenance of 400kV / 220kV GISOperation & Maintenance of 400kV AIS and electrical elementsCo-ordination with regulatory team / RLDCs for day to day interactions / power schedulingOperation & Maintenance of Power transformers 500MVA/250 MVASound knowledge of Protection systems and relay co-ordinationPower system parameter control through the adjustment of active and reactive powerUnderstanding of tie line control systemUnderstanding of synchronization of captive power system with grid and its controlHands on experience of Numerical relaysKnowledge in SCADA operations and Disturbance records analysisKnowledge about LV switchgears, UPS, Batteries, Battery chargers, DG setsUnderstanding of grid disturbance and its effect on captive power systemBasis understanding of Firefighting and F&G systemSECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLEResponsibilitiesPolicies, Processes and ProceduresConduct day to day activities & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent mannerKeep self abreast with leading practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of systems, processes and proceduresDevelop test procedures and formats; Standardize and implement best practices and group guidelines for electrical equipment improvementCompliance & DocumentationPrepare documentation related to compliance audit and support in ensuring adherence to statutory, CSM and HSE compliance, including RESOP, DOSHE, CASHe, HSEF mandatory trainings, etc.Prepare repair and test records, MIS, and reporting documents related to electrical equipment maintenance and update the same in IMS in a timely mannerSECTION IV: SUCCESS METRICSTime to resolutionOEE (Overall equipment effectiveness)Reduction in unplanned shutdownShutdown turn around time/ Mean time between failuresReduction in # of safety incidentsSECTION V: OPERATING NETWORKInternalHuman Resource, Administration, Workshop, Planning, Security, etc.ExternalVendor, Equipment Manufacturers, etc.SECTION VI: KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIESEducation QualificationsA Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology (Electrical stream) or a Master's degree in Engineering/ Technology (Electrical stream) (Preferred)ExperienceUp to 5-7 years of experience for degree in Power Plant/ Electrical Substation.
