Main Role & Responsibilities:Lead, guide and support the team in delivering service commitments to customer whilst ensuring safe work for all and securing financials expected by the Company. Additional responsibilities: Full implementation of S.A. TALKE HSE Policy and Quality Policy at the Site.Coordinate with HSSEQ Department to provide necessary training, guidelines, PPE etc. and be responsible for maintaining a safety culture at site.Full adherence of IMS policy. Preparing annual training matrix and facilitate trainings as per the matrix.Employee performance monitoring and conducting periodic performance evaluation to identify skill / knowledge gaps and training requirements. Look into staff facilities and welfare at the site and staff accommodation to ensure employee comfort and wellbeing.Being the single point of contact for the customer, maintain close coordination, conduct regular meetings, and attend to all customer inquiries & needs.Adopt the business code of ethics.Follow workplace health and safety program. Commit to protect the environment. Achieve all volume and quality targets agreed with the customer.Maintain the site in a highly presentable state during all times.Provide leadership and guidance to Maintenance Department.Liaise with suppliers to maintain equipment uptime KPI.Work with the sub-contractor to assure shuttle truck operations do not hinder operations at the site and/or customer’s bagging facility.Lead the procurement process to avoid any interruptions to work due to non-availability of spares, consumables, stationary etc.Provide required data and information to senior management.Timely preparation and delivery of Management Information Reports.Preparing annual budget.Constantly monitor site performance against the budget and secure expected margins.Generate supporting documents for invoice generation within the stipulated time.Be responsible for collecting due payments from the customer.Liaise with HR Department to maintain required headcount at site.Coordinate with trucking and freight forwarding contractors hired by the customer to maintain uniform standards across the board and avoid site operations hindered by their performance. Qualification and Education Requirement:MBA preferred or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.Advanced safety training.Minimum 10 Years’ experience in a large-scale logistics operation of which 5 years at Managerial Capacity. Working knowledge on ISO 9000 and SQAS is preferred.Inter-personal Skills: Safety mindset – places safety above all.Customer oriented approach with good PR skills.Focused on quality. Able to evaluate quality performance and bring in improvements as necessary.People Skills – ability to lead and inspire a multinational workforce.Financial know how – able to see site activities from financial point of view and delivery expected results.Technical knowledge – good understanding on technical aspects of material handling equipment, machinery, building, and premises coming under his preview.
