Social Worker (Redhook)

The New York State Unified Court System is seeking a Resource Coordinator to serve as a Social Worker in the New York City Criminal Court, Redhook Community Court.Key Responsibilities: Providing updates to the court regarding defendants in treatment.Advising the court of available programming resources.Maintaining relationships with the clinic and service providers at other locations.Providing the court with immediate assistance when requesting dates for certain programs and availability.Providing the court with information as to what languages programs are offered in.Escorting defendants upstairs to the clinic, to sign the defendant up for programming.Monitoring complaints by defendants about programming and reporting those findings to the court.Assisting any new clinicians to understand our mission and preferred practices in Redhook.The Resource Coordinator may also travel to Kings Criminal to cover our Mental Health Court AP-18, AP-18W where they will provide updates and services available for defendants in conjunction with the District Attorney and Defense Bar.Qualifications: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee (CASAC-T) and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.BASE SALARY: $61,424 + $4,920 Location PayPlease view the full employment announcement at: 21533.pdf
