As a multi-platform peer-to-peer decentralized compression cloud, SP Cloud is redefining how data is stored, transferred, and shared.The platform's beta version is now live and available for download at myspcloud.com.Role Description: Software ArchitectThis is a full-time hybrid role for a Software Architect, based in or near New York with remote flexibility.You will design and create innovative software solutions, define architectural blueprints, and build scalable, high-performance platforms.You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure architectural decisions align with SP Cloud’s technical and business goals. Responsibilities include refining and reviewing code, establishing development best practices, and integrating new tools and frameworks.You will also stay up to date with emerging technologies to ensure the platform evolves with modern standards.We’re a fast-moving, ambitious startup, so you should be genuinely excited about startup life, passionate about exploring different software technologies, and ready to jump into a variety of technical challenges.QualificationsProficiency in Software Architecture, Software Design, and Design PatternsStrong experience in Software Development and ProgrammingAbility to create scalable, reliable, and maintainable software systemsExcellent problem-solving skills and understanding of industry best practicesProficiency in modern programming languages and familiarity with cloud technologiesPursuing or got a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fieldExperience with decentralized or distributed systems is a strong advantageExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesPassion for startups, innovation, and working across different software technologies and roles
