We have raised the largest seed in history in the accounting space from Kleiner Perkins & Audacious Ventures and are backed by finance leaders at companies such as Rippling, OpenAI, and UI Path.Role Overview:As a founding engineer, you will be at the core of building our product from the ground up. You’ll have the opportunity to shape both the front-end and back-end architecture, working closely with the founders and early customers to solve complex financial problems.Key Responsibilities:Lead full-stack development of key product features such as reconciliations, flux analysis, and accruals automationBuild and maintain robust integrations with financial systems including ERPs, HRIS, Procurement software, and CRMsDesign and implement core components of the backend platform, including the jobs framework, flexible data ingestion, and complex financial modelingEnsure best practices in software development, including code quality, automated testing, and CI/CDCollaborate with the founding team on product strategy, feature prioritization, and customer feedback loopsBuild and maintain planning and agentic workflows using the state of the art large language modelsCollaborate on technical decisions on scalability and securityHelp build the engineering team and cultureRequired Skills:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field1-3 years of experience in full-stack development, preferably with early-stage startupsStrong experience building financial systems is preferredProficiency in front-end technologies such as React, NextJSStrong back-end development experience with Go or similar technologiesStrong experience with relational databases and modelingFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP)Ability to understand basic machine learning concepts and quickly ramp up onStartup mentality with a passion for rapid prototyping, testing, and iterating on feedbackFintech or accounting software experience is a plusWhy Join Us:Be a core part of a mission-driven startup looking to transform accounting processes.Work in a fast-paced environment where your decisions directly impact product direction and company growth.Opportunity to grow with the company and build a technical team from the ground up.Competitive salary, equity, and benefits (401k, unlimited PTO)Join us in revolutionizing accounting month-end close and making accounting operations more efficient for businesses everywhere!
