We provide structured, practice-based learning to build real technical skills and job-ready portfolios.Role OverviewMentora is seeking a Software Engineering Mentor to guide learners through practical software development skills and real-world project implementation. The mentor will support students in understanding core concepts, solving technical challenges, and building industry-standard portfolios.ResponsibilitiesDeliver structured lessons on software engineering fundamentals and modern web development.Provide mentoring and technical guidance during coding sessions and project development.Review assignments and projects, giving clear, constructive feedback.Assist learners in applying best practices in coding, debugging, and problem-solving.Collaborate with the curriculum team to improve and update course materials.Maintain consistent communication to monitor learner progress and address challenges.RequirementsProven experience in software development (frontend, backend, or fullstack).Strong knowledge of web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Next.js, Node.js/Express, APIs, Git/GitHub.Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively.Strong communication and mentoring skills.A portfolio or evidence of past development work.Preferred Qualifications:Experience teaching or mentoring.Familiarity with vocational IT education (RPL).Understanding of Agile workflows or UI/UX fundamentals.What We OfferRemote-first and flexible work environment.Opportunity to shape the next generation of software developers.Collaborative and supportive team culture.Access to digital teaching resources and internal training.Competitive compensation based on experience.
