Sourcer, Talent AcquisitionSummary/ObjectiveThe Talent Acquisition Sourcer is tasked with developing and executing innovative sourcing strategies to build robust pipelines of specialized talent for current and future roles across Sales and Marketing, Operations, Corporate Functions and other critical functions within the organization.This role focuses on the initial stages of the recruitment lifecycle, including market research, candidate identification, and engagement. You can expect high-impact responsibility, implementing sourcing strategies while partnering with an internal Talent Acquisition team member.What You’ll be DoingSourcing Strategy & Execution:Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for highly specialized, difficult-to-fill rolesUtilize advanced search techniques across various platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter, niche job boards, professional networks, and industry directories to identify passive candidates.Conduct comprehensive talent market research and competitor analysis to gain insights into talent pools, trends, and compensation benchmarks within the biotech industry.Proactively source and map talent from target companies, universities, etc.Candidate Engagement & Pipeline Management:Craft and send compelling outreach messages to engage passive candidates, clearly articulating the company's employee value propositionConduct initial pre-screening calls to assess a candidate's technical qualifications, experience, cultural fit, and motivation for a career change before introducing them to the Recruiter or Hiring Manager.Build, maintain, and cultivate long-term talent pipelines for critical roles using Greenhouse, our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).Track and measure sourcing metrics, including conversion rates and use data to refine sourcing strategies.Collaboration & Consulting:Partner closely with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to deeply understand job requirements, technical specifications, and the desired candidate profile.Act as a subject matter expert on the external talent market, advising stakeholders on market availability, recruiting challenges, and effective strategies.Compliance & Data Integrity:Maintain meticulous and up-to-date candidate data within the ATS to ensure a single source of truth and reliable reporting.Ensure all sourcing activities comply with relevant local employment laws and data privacy regulations.What You’ll Bring to the TeamBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus4+ years of dedicated talent sourcing experience, with at least 2+ years supporting commercial recruiting, preferably within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industryPrior experience supporting recruiting for the Commercial team is a mustExpert proficiency with advanced sourcing techniquesProven experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)Advanced proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other social media/professional platforms for sourcing.Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of commercial roles and functions within a biotech/pharma environmentCore CompetenciesIntellectual Curiosity/Passion for Science: Genuine interest in the company's scientific domain and the ability to articulate Twist Bioscience to candidates.Grit and Resilience: Persistence in pursuing hard-to-find passive candidates.Communication: Top-notch written and verbal communication skills to engage and influence highly educated professionals.Data-Driven: Ability to use data and metrics to inform sourcing decisions and report on progress.Compensation will vary depending on the level and locationAbout Twist BioscienceTwist Bioscience synthesizes genes from scratch, known as “writing” DNA.
