In partnership with around 1,500 suppliers in Germany and abroad, the necessary materials for the worldwide production plants of Mercedes-Benz Cars/Vans are provided. Locations in Germany, South Africa, China, India, Mexico and Argentina ensure proximity to production.To strengthen transparency and collaboration across the Asian sourcing market - particularly with suppliers in Korea and Japan, and manufacturing locations in Southeast Asia – we are kicking off the establishment of the MP Asia Hub, headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. The team will focus on long-term business and relationship development in the region.Its responsibilities mainly focus on enforced strategic business development with supplier partners in Asia and include initiating RFOs, leading negotiations, and driving related activities such as potential analysis evaluations. This new organization marks an important step in enhancing sourcing competitiveness and building long-term strategic supplier partnerships throughout Asia.[Description of tasks]Initiate and manage RFI/RFQ processes with potential suppliers in Asia, focus KoreaManage overall and full-scale negotiations of (pre)development contracts to preparing suppliers for sourcing readinessElevate suppliers to sourcing readiness by achieving common grounds on all Mercedes-Benz requirements including project awarding premises and legal framework conditionsPartner and tie-up with MP HQ Series Management and respective commodity/material-group buyersAlign with MP and RD HQ in Germany including Risk Management, Cost Planning and LegalRepresent MP Asia-Pacific in all relevant HQ Sourcing Boards[Qualifications]EducationMinimum bachelor’s degreeExperienceExperienced professional with an excellent personal presence and strong business orientation.Proven negotiation skills and experience are essential.Automotive industry background and/or Purchasing experience is considered a strong plus.Specific knowledgeExtroverted and articulate personality with excellent communication and influencing skills.Fluent in English at a negotiation level (both spoken and written)[Other Information]Recruitment ProcessMercedes-Benz Korea follows a structured recruitment process consisting of the following steps:Document ScreeningPersonality & Aptitude TestFirst InterviewSecond InterviewFinal SelectionApplication GuidelinesApplicants must be eligible for overseas travel.
