We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated part-time B4 Speech and Language Therapy Assistant.This post will be based across West Devon areas of Ivybridge, Kingsbridge and Tavistock and will be part of the highly supportive Torbay, South and West Team, delivering a community speech and language therapy service to children and young people within clinic and education settings.Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) is the place to be! This provides a real sense of professional collaboration at work, that will be an asset to your daily work, your career development and your support network.Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) is the place to be! #CaretojoinusTSDThe Communication and Interaction pathway consists of Speech and Language Therapists working across Devon and Torbay.The aim of the team is to ensure that specialist support is easily accessible within the community settings, providing both direct support to children, young people and families, and to the wider community teams.Everyone in the team is provided with regular supervision, opportunities for training and developmentOther Duties Of The Job IncludeTo assist in the provision of the Speech and Language Therapy Service to children with speech, language and communication needs across the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.To include, but not limited to, assisting with the setting up and running of parent groups, children’s groups, individual assessment and intervention, advice and target setting within settings/ home and developing resources and packages of care.To be accountable for own professional action and recognise own professional boundaries, seeking advice as appropriate.
