In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN has acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.To Ensure The Achievement Of This Large-scale Project, G Mining Ventures Is Looking For An Experienced And Motivated Individual To Fill The Position OfSpeedboat BowmanSpeedboat Bowman is responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient operation of the vessels, ensuring a positive experience for all passengers while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the navigation and operation of the boat under the direction of theEnsure the safety and security of passengers and crew at allConduct pre-departure checks, including safety equipment and emergencyProvide excellent customer service, engaging with passengers and addressing any inquiries or concerns.Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vessel, both inside andAssist with loading and unloading passengers andPerform routine maintenance and repairs as directed by the captain or leadParticipate in emergency drills and trainingMonitor weather conditions and report any changes to theFollow all safety protocols and regulations at allAssist with refueling the vessel and keeping a fuelQualifications/Skills And ExperienceValid STCW certificate from an accreditedPrevious experience in a boating or maritime environment isKnowledge of safety regulations and emergencyStrong communication and interpersonalAbility to work as part of a team andPhysical stamina and the ability to lift heavyWillingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Working ConditionsPosition based at the OKO Project site. .Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days OffTransport, accommodations, and meals provided on site.Compensation PackagePermanent, full-time roleCompetitive SalaryCompetitive benefits, bonus and group insurances.
