Try Tag Rugby (TTR) offers regular participation in Tag Rugby for people aged 18-60+ across a diverse, welcoming, and inclusive community of players and supporters UK wide.The Sports League Coordinator is responsible for the delivery and culture of assigned leagues within Try Tag Rugby. They will ensure high-quality weekly experiences for players, manage referees and Venue Supervisors (VSs), while driving retention and growth of leagues through excellent operations, customer service, and community engagement.They are the first point of contact at their leagues, accountable for building strong relationships with players, referees, team organisers, and partner pubs. This role requires a balance of hands-on venue delivery, administrative efficiency, and people leadership. The SLC is a very sociable job, mixing both office and outdoor work. However, outstanding applicants may be interviewed prior to the closing date.Roles & ResponsibilitiesLeague Delivery & Admin ● Venue supervise 4 leagues per week and administer 1–2 additional leagues● Manage day-to-day league admin: fixtures, emails, duty reports, cancellations, injuryreporting, turn-up & play sessions, and compliance● Monitor registrations and capacities (awareness; RM holds overall accountability)● Uphold rules and regulations, applying common sense when required● Lead execution of debt chasing for assigned leagues, escalating to RM when unresolved● Build strong relationships with team organisers and players; proactively support retentionFoster a positive league culture and handle disciplinary issues appropriately● Manage pub relationships, ensuring a healthy post-league social scene● Deliver end-of-season presentations at league pubs● Promote upcoming leagues, events, and socials to players at venues● Undertake basic first aid when needed and escalate serious incidents appropriately● Provide excellent customer service to all league participantsCommunity Marketing & Growth ● Contribute to community marketing: posters, flyers, WhatsApp, Facebook groups, and social media content● Deliver and administer free taster sessions; assist with new league launches● Convert interested players into paying registrationsReferees & Venues ● Recruit referees for assigned leagues; manage, mentor, and provide feedback● Support VSs with guidance, feedback, and as their first point of contact● Work with the referee scheduler on appointments; step in when required● Referee games occasionally to ensure smooth league delivery● Conduct venue health & safety checks and escalate issues as neededEvents & Wider Business ● Assist with event and tournament preparation leading up to major events Work at 3–5 major events annually Support delivery of social or corporate events as required● Take on 1–2 London office accountabilities in addition to league dutiesDevelopment ● Act up as Regional Manager (RM) to cover leave when required About YouThis position would ideally suit a recent graduate with an interest in rugby or a sports enthusiast looking for a change of career. Current Tag Rugby players or referees are also encouraged to apply.The ideal person will be/have:Extremely organised and proactive with an efficient work ethicStrong attention to detail & excellent administration skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsConfidence using IT systems and ability to quickly learn internal sports management systemsA strong interest in sportA willingness to learn to referee Tag RugbyWelcoming and personable, enjoys working as part of a sociable teamReasonable fitness, to be able to carry a kitbag and referee Tag Rugby gamesGood sense of humour and ability to have funNice to have:Degree qualification in sport, business or a related fieldFirst aid certificateHold a driver's license and able to drive in the UKWorking Arrangements (hours, location, salary & benefits)● Employment type: Full-time● Weekly hours: 35 hrs, made up of league delivery, administration, and office/projectwork● Leagues: Expected to run 4 leagues per week (when not on leave)Leave: 28 days statutory leave annually (includes public holidays) + 5 company leavedays● Time in lieu: Available for shifts worked outside normal hours (per policy)Core Hours – Venue (Weeknights) ● Typically 6:30–10pm depending on league/venue● Occasional later finishes for end-of-season presentations● Regular post-match social venue visits are expected● If a league is cancelled, other work should take place or hours made up elsewhere in theweekCore Hours – Venue (Weekends) ● Some SLCs will be responsible for weekend leagues● Hours generally 10am–4pm Saturday or 1–5pm Sunday ● Occasional later finishes for presentations or socialsCore Hours – Office/Admin ● For those running weeknight leagues: approx. 1–5pm for office/admin work, with 3–4 hrs Friday for admin/project work● Entitled to 1 hr unpaid break daily if working 6+ continuous hours (minimum 30 mins encouraged)Typical Weekly Pattern ● Normally 7.5–8 hrs per day across Mon–Thurs● Friday often used for TOIL or admin workLocation ● Try Tag Rugby office (Elephant & Castle, SE1)● League venues across London (zones 1–3)● Hybrid/WFH allowed where agreed with managerCompensation & Benefits ● Salary: £26,000–£29,000 (based on skills & experience), plus performance-based bonus● Overtime/Refereeing: Cover shifts & paid refereeing opportunities (TBC); refereeing bonus applies when refereeing 2+ games in a night as SLC● Expenses: Travel reimbursed when attending league venues from office/home (per policy, with TFL statement).
