Position Title : Sr. Business Analyst Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)Mode: Contract Position OverviewThis role requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in requirements gathering, system analysis, stakeholder management, and Agile project delivery. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and ministry partners to ensure business and technical objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops to elicit business and system needs.Conduct gap analysis, impact analysis, and system assessments for both current and proposed digital applications.Develop and maintain comprehensive business analysis documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRD), System Requirements Specifications (SRS), Use Cases, User Stories, and Process Flow Diagrams.Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications to guide development and implementation activities.Support the design, documentation, and implementation of system architecture aligned with Ontario Health’s security, privacy, and compliance standards.Collaborate with project teams and vendors to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical deliverables.Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure system integrity and compliance.Prepare and maintain training materials and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions with internal teams.Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and business process optimization within the eForms solution.Required Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum 7 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst within large-scale digital transformation or I&IT projects.Proven experience in:Requirements gathering and documentation (BRD, SRS, Use Cases, User Stories).Stakeholder management across multiple business units.System analysis for existing and new digital platforms.Leading Agile business analysis activities.Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and technical documentation.Experience working with Azure, Microsoft technologies, and Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).Desired SkillsKnowledge of Information Management (IM) principles, concepts, and best practices.Experience with business process re-engineering and process mapping techniques.Strong background in developing business models, data flow diagrams, and non-functional requirements.Understanding of Ontario Health systems, digital health initiatives, or other public sector environments.Awareness of emerging I&IT technologies and trends relevant to digital transformation.
