The Business Operations & Strategy team serves as NinjaTrader’s internal consulting arm—partnering across the organization to help leaders solve problems, strategize, and execute on key initiatives that advance our mission. The team plays a critical role in driving performance management, enabling decision-making through analysis, and identifying opportunities for operational excellence and strategic growth.In this role you will:Partner with executive and departmental leadership to define and operationalize strategic priorities across the organizationLead complex, cross-functional projects that deliver on NinjaTrader’s growth ambitions—structuring workstreams, managing stakeholders, and driving measurable business outcomesConduct financial, operational, and customer analyses to assess performance, identify opportunities, and build recommendations for leadershipDevelop financial models and business cases to evaluate new initiatives, partnerships, or operational improvementsServe as a strategic thought partner to the Director of Strategy and executive leaders—helping to shape the company’s strategic planning process, Tier 1 KPIs, and annual operating cadenceSynthesize data, insights, and recommendations into clear, executive-ready presentations for the Leadership Team and Board of DirectorsMentor and manage junior team members, fostering professional development and analytical rigor within the Strategy functionMonitor market trends, industry developments, and competitive dynamics to inform NinjaTrader’s strategic directionWhat you'll need:7+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, investment banking, or private equity; experience in FinTech or trading industries preferredProven track record of leading cross-functional strategic initiatives from ideation to executionExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to distill complex issues into actionable recommendationsAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPointStrong communication and executive presence, with experience presenting to and influencing senior stakeholdersAbility to translate strategic questions into quantitative frameworksA proactive, self-starter mentality with a high degree of ownership, organization, and attention to detailAbility to thrive in a fast-moving environment while balancing multiple priorities and deadlinesBonus Points For:Familiarity with SQL, Google Data Studio, and BigQueryFinancial modeling experienceCompensation:The salary range for this role will be $160,000.00-$180,000.00 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 12%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%).Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader offers a 401K plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 18 days per year (some positions may qualify for more) plus seven paid holidays.Location:This role is based in Chicago, IL. *There may be remote flexibility for exceptional candidates in the following states: California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C., Wisconsin.Hybrid:For Chicago-based employees, we follow a hybrid work schedule: In-office Tuesday through Thursday, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
