Job Description

A fast-growing software company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its Finance team. This role plays a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing and reporting across all areas of the business.Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will support payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, reconciliations, and other general accounting functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, ethical, and eager to contribute to a collaborative, high-performing finance team.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll for domestic and international employees.Manage accounts payable, including invoice entry, payments, and vendor communication.Perform bank reconciliations, cash applications, and credit card accounting.Maintain fixed asset schedules and perform intercompany eliminations.Post journal entries and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.Assist with month-end and quarter-end closing activities.Support annual financial audits and compliance reporting.Identify and implement process improvements across accounting operations.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.Understanding of GAAP principles and accounting processes.Experience with payroll, reconciliations, and general ledger systems.Proficiency in Excel; experience with NetSuite, CBIZ, or Expensify a plus.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Ethical, dependable, and highly organized team player.Why JoinHybrid work model – enjoy flexibility with one in-office day per week.Opportunity to gain broad exposure to all facets of corporate accounting.Collaborative team culture focused on professional growth and excellence.
