You will be required to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way.To find out more about NHS Ayrshire and Arran please visit our website - NHS Ayrshire & Arran - Home (nhsaaa.net)PositionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for 2x Staff Nurses based at Foxgrove, Ayrshire Central Hospital.What You Will DoNHS Ayrshire and Arran were successful in the bid to host the National Secure Adolescent Inpatient services for young people aged between 12 and their 18th birthday who present a level of risk and we are now moving towards the finalisation of the build and the clinical model with the expectation that the service will be accepting the first young people into the service.We are inviting motivated/compassionate & enthusiastic staff nurses to contribute to our wider MDT and assist young people within Foxgrove with their mental health requirements and contribute to risk assessment/planning.You will be based at Foxgrove National Secure Adolescent Inpatient Service within Ayrshire Central Hospital and will join and work alongside the Service Manager, Senior charge nurse and clinical team to assist in completion of the final development of pathways and processes, whilst having the opportunity to build the culture and ethos of the service prior to its imminent opening.For further information on the role please click the link below to view the job description.Essential CriteriaKnowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:First Level Registered Nurse (RMN part 3) of register or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RLDN)Highly motivated, excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrates awareness of collaboration and team working.Evidence of continuing professional development, preferably degree level relevant to this post.Relevant experience at Band 5 in either CAMHS or Forensics.A knowledge base with regard to clinical issues and mental health legislation.Highly developed interpersonal, communication, planning and organisational skills.Knowledge of CAMHS and/or Forensic issues and associated management considerationsExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenExcellent organisational skillsAbility to fulfil main duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description. To work autonomously within a highly pressured environment. Influence practice development and innovation.
