All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, ancestry, color, disability, familial status, gender or gender identity, genetic information, military service, national origin, pregnancy and related conditions, race, religion, sex, veteran status, or any other basis prohibited by law.Essential Job FunctionsAssists students with their treatment for minor illnesses and injuries and refers cases for more advanced treatments as neededDispenses medication and provides medical treatment under the guidelines of the medical providers standing orders as neededProcesses and reviews medical records in accordance with department of health and university regulationsRecords patients' complaints, performs assessments, treatments, and refers for treatment outside the university as neededDocuments student visits and contacts to track the frequency of visits and illnesses so trend analysis can be completedAssists with educational programs that teach students about health related matters and to promote healthy practices on campusPerforms other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsMinimum of an associate's degree or equivalent formal training programExperience working in nursing or other related experience Registered nurse's licensePreferred QualificationsAssociate's degree or equivalent formal training program in nursing or related field of studyClinical experience, direct patient care, point of care testing, knowledge of state's immunization requirements, documentation using electronic health records (EHR), lab orderingExperience administering injections and oral medicationsPlease NoteQualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Charlotte Campus location upon hire.Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until job posting is closed.
