Job Description

Purpose of the positionThe Stock controller Supervisor is responsible for forecasting, planning, and aligning spare parts inventory with operational demand. This role ensures optimal stock availability, minimizes deadstock, and supports procurement decisions through data-driven analysis and cross-functional coordination.Responsibilities:Demand Forecasting & Inventory Planning Analyze historical consumption trends, seasonal patterns, and service forecasts to develop accurate stock plans.Collaborate with Service, Sales, and Procurement teams to align inventory levels with projected demand.Maintain rolling forecasts and adjust planning parameters based on market dynamics and operational feedback.Track aging inventory and propose clearance, reclassification, or disposal actions.Replenishment Strategy & Optimization Define minimum and maximum stock thresholds per part number and location.Monitor reorder points and lead times, ensuring timely replenishment while avoiding excess inventory.Recommend stock redistribution across JA AGM warehouses to balance availability and reduce logistics costs.Carry-Over & VOR (Vehicle Off Road) Daily Cases Conduct daily carry-over studies to identify unresolved parts and initiate resolution quickly.New Part Number Planning & Pricing Define new part numbers in coordination with Technical and Procurement teams.Benchmark market prices and set competitive, sustainable pricing strategies.Ensure accurate ERP updates for part classification, bin location, and cost structure.Reporting & Strategic Insights Generate planning dashboards and KPIs (e.g., fill rate, inventory turnover, forecast accuracy).Present monthly planning reviews to management, highlighting risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.Support audits and compliance reviews with documented planning logic and inventory rationale.Qualifications:BA in business administration, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred5-7 years of experience in spare parts inventory or warehouse control, preferably in the automotive sector.Strong knowledge of stock management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dealer Management Systems).Good understanding of automotive parts catalogues and warehouse operations.Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Strong communication and cross-departmental collaboration.Integrity, accuracy, and high sense of accountability.Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
