Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities: Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions. Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade storage and backup infrastructure across on-premises and cloud platforms. Develop and enforce data protection, retention, and recovery strategies in alignment with organizational policies. Manage capacity planning, performance optimization, and monitoring of storage resources. Implement backup automation, job scheduling, and reporting for SLA compliance. Coordinate with security and cloud teams to ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance. Plan and execute storage and backup system upgrades, migrations, and refresh cycles. Perform regular DR drills and ensure readiness for business continuity scenarios. Maintain up-to-date documentation for architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Evaluate emerging storage and backup technologies to recommend enhancements and cost optimizations. Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in SAN/NAS storage systems (Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, Pure Storage, etc.). Deep understanding of Backup & Recovery technologies (Veeam, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Azure Backup, etc.). Practical experience in Storage Area Net Services (FC/iSCSI), zoning, and LUN provisioning. Proficient in automating backup and storage operations using scripting and orchestration tools (PowerShell, Python, Ansible). Experience with data lifecycle management, retention policies, and archival strategies. Strong knowledge of replication, snapshot management, and cross-site disaster recovery setups. Skilled in monitoring and performance tuning of storage systems using tools like SolarWinds, Zabbix, or vendor-native utilities. Knowledge of security best practices related to data encryption, key management, and compliance (GDPR, ISO 27001). Ability to mentor junior engineers and ensure knowledge sharing within the team. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. "Attain one or more certifications from the following technology domains"Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Storage certification. AWS Certified Storage Specialty or Solutions Architect –Associate. Dell EMC Proven Manpower / NetApp Certified Data Administrator / Commvault Certified EngineerVeeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) / Veritas Certified Specialist (VCS)ITIL FoundationMinimum Experience: 8–10 years of overall IT experience, with at least 4–5 years specializing in enterprise storage and backup solutions. Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining hybrid (on-premises and cloud) storage architectures. Hands-on experience in data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to Services independently and lead complex multi-site backup/storage projects. Customer-focused with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
