Job Description

Objective/Purpose of the Job:To conduct the receipt, counting, and issuance of materials and pallets, ensuring accurate inventory records and storage. They conduct stock counts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain a clean workspace. The role involves adhering to safety and quality standards, supporting vessel operations, and assisting the Raw Materials team, along with performing daily warehouse and container inspections for compliance.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Receive, count, and issue packaging, store items and JGC pallets based on requisitionsAccurately input data for all received packaging, store materials, and JGC palletsAssign lot numbers or labels and determine storage locations based on item type and operational plansStore packaging materials, Store items and pallets in an organized and accessible mannerConduct regular stock counting of JGC pallets, packaging materials and engineering store itemsAssort, clean and fog / spray JGC pallets daily to prevent infestationsPack and unpack items for shelving or designated storage areasVerify inventory balances against physical counts and resolve discrepanciesLabel stock items using identification tags or toolsMaintain accurate records of inventory, including receipts, issuances, and returnsPrepare materials for use by assembling or adjusting them as neededAdvise users on the suitability of parts when requiredMaintain a clean and organized workspace, including weekly equipment cleaning and participation in Food Safety and Security programsDemonstrate commitment to safety, health, and environment by following the policies and procedures of JGCDemonstrate commitment to maintain & continuously improve JGC'S Food Safety & Quality Management SystemMaintain 5's standards in the Engineering Stores and Packaging Materials Warehouse and in all areas where tasks are assignedSupport the Raw Materials team during staffing shortages as per daily assigned tasksPromote and maintain a safe and healthy working environmentUphold the company's safety, health, and environmental policiesSupport and continuously improve the Food Safety and Quality Management SystemWork a 12 hours shift (Day or Night) during wheat and corn vessel operations either at stores, Kingston port or grains receiving areaPerform other departmental duties as per supervisor instructionsConduct Daily warehouse inspectionPerform routine container inspection to verify adherence to AEO status, safety regulation, and company policiesIndividuals are able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistanceRequirementsAcademic/Technical/Management: Experience and Qualifications:Secondary education with four passes at the CSEC level including Mathematics and English Language. Understand safety, health, and environmental regulationsWorking knowledge & ability to use computer systems & Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Familiarity with Infor and IBM MaximoWorking knowledge of managing inventoriesBenefitsHealth InsuranceLife InsurancePension Lunch SubsidyOthers
