The Strata Control Officer will be responsible for assessing ground conditions and ensuring safe mining operations. The role includes conducting inspections, collaborating with mining engineers, and working with heavy equipment. Monitoring and evaluating platinum mining activities to meet safety and operational standards is a key responsibility. The role is for Dec. 2025 and Jan. 2026 onlyQualificationsProficiency in working with heavy equipment in mining operationsStrong communication skills to collaborate with team members and report findings effectivelyKnowledge and experience in mining engineering practices and principlesInspection skills for identifying potential risks and ensuring complianceUnderstanding and experience in coal mining operationsDemonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detailRelevant certifications or qualifications in mining, engineering, or a related fieldPrior experience in a similar role or related mining operations is an advantage
