Strategic Insights Coordinator (Part-Time)Location: Surry Hills, SydneyReporting To: Proposition ManagerType: Part-Time (3 Days per Week)Role PurposeThe Strategic Insights Coordinator supports executive decision-making and informs the strategic direction of the Everyday Rewards program. This is achieved by actively analysing and synthesising critical insights, including competitor loyalty programs, current industry trends and emerging customer behaviours, ensuring the Program, Propositions, and Experience team maintains a cutting-edge, proactive, market view. This position is ideal for a university student or recent graduate looking to gain experience in strategy, propositions, loyalty, marketing, market analysis, and translating qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable summaries.Key ResponsibilitiesMarket & Competitor IntelligenceCompetitor Monitoring: Proactively track and document significant updates, changes, and new initiatives launched by key national and international competitor loyalty programs.Industry Trend Reporting: Conduct systematic research on emerging loyalty trends, consumer behavioural shifts, and global best practice, synthesising findings for the Rewards leadership team.Insights Synthesis: Assist in compiling qualitative data (e.g. news articles, industry reports) into concise, high-level summaries that highlight potential opportunities or threats.Strategic Coordination & CommunicationExecutive Reporting: Draft and format strategic review decks and competitive landscape analyses for weekly Woolworths Group Executive meetings to inform investment and campaign decisions.Presentation Preparation: Ensure all materials are meticulously prepared, visually compelling, and structured to clearly communicate strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.Stakeholder Coordination: Manage the scheduling and preparation of materials for cross-functional workshops focused on market trends and proposition development.Knowledge Management: Maintain and organise the team’s library of external reports and research, ensuring market intelligence is readily accessible for immediate use in strategic discussions.EssentialQualifications & ExperienceEducation: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Strategy, Communications, or a related discipline.Experience: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience (this may include internships, academic projects, or part-time work) where research, writing, and presentation development were key tasks.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Suite for professional document creation and data presentation.Soft Skills:Strategic Thinking: Lateral and critical thinking skills with the ability to connect dots across diverse topics (e.g., technology, finance, and consumer behaviour).Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex information into clear, executive-ready insights.Proactivity: Demonstrates a strong initiative, will to learn, and high sense of ownership, essential for working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.DesirableDemonstrated interest in loyalty, retail, or subscription-based business models.Experience conducting structured desktop research or contributing to business case development.Experience working in a collaborative team environment.🟢 Please consider applying even if you don't meet 100% of what’s outlined 🟢Key Responsibilities📊 Market & competitor intelligence📈 Strategic coordination & communication📚 Knowledge managementKey Strengths🧠 Strategic thinking🗣️ Communication🚀 Proactivity💳 Interest in loyalty programs🔍 Research experience🤝 Team collaborationWhy Woolworths Group is partnering with Hatch on this role.
