Strategy Consultant (Contract – Hybrid, Montreal)Location: Montreal, QC, Canada or Gulu, UgandaDuration: November - December 2025Compensation: Up to $10,000 USDAbout CEED ConcordiaCEED Concordia is a non-profit organization based in Montreal, Canada, with operations in Gulu, Uganda. We are dedicated to social justice and community empowerment through youth-led initiatives. Supported by a fee levy from Concordia University undergraduate students, CEED fosters global civic responsibility and experiential learning through international community development.Our programs provide students with hands-on experience in project management, sustainability, cross-cultural collaboration, and community development, empowering youth to become leaders and changemakers in their communities.About the RoleCEED Concordia is seeking an experienced Strategy Consultant to lead the development of a five-year Strategic Plan (2026–2031). This short-term role is based in Montreal with flexibility for remote collaboration.Working closely with CEED’s Board of Directors and the leadership team, the consultant will design and facilitate a participatory planning process that engages staff, students, alumni, and community stakeholders.The consultant will conduct organizational and stakeholder analyses, lead workshops, and help define CEED’s strategic priorities, measurable goals, and Theory of Change. The final plan will strengthen CEED’s institutional capacity, governance, and financial sustainability, while advancing youth leadership, experiential learning, and community impact.Key DeliverablesThe consultant will deliver four main outputs.Inception Report: A detailed report outlining the consultant’s approach, methodology, data collection tools, stakeholder engagement plan, and a timeline for approval by CEED’s Board of Directors.Five-Year Strategic Plan (2026–2031): A comprehensive plan defining CEED’s strategic priorities, measurable goals, and implementation framework. It will include a SWOT analysis, stakeholder assessment, and strategies to strengthen governance, capacity, and community impact.Theory of Change Framework: A co-created visual model mapping CEED’s long-term vision, outcomes, and key activities, forming the foundation for the Strategic Plan and its monitoring framework.Communications and Implementation Framework: A concise plan outlining objectives, tools, and monitoring mechanisms to guide communication, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement during implementation.QualificationsProven experience in strategic planning, organizational development, or management consultingStrong analytical, facilitation, and communication skillsExperience with Theory of Change and results-based frameworksSolid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and resource optimizationFamiliarity with non-profit and international development sectorsAbility to work effectively in cross-cultural and participatory environmentsBachelor’s degree or higher in Business, International Development, Strategic Management, or a related fieldStrong AssetsExperience with international development or university-affiliated initiativesFamiliarity with community-based organizations and youth networksKnowledge of the Uganda context and Acholi Luo languageExperience working on donor-funded or cross-border projectsAt least two similar assignments or professional experience in strategic planning and developmentExpected OutcomesThe consultant will deliver a comprehensive Strategic Plan for 2026 to 2031 that strengthens CEED’s institutional capacity, enhances its strategic positioning, and deepens its impact in experiential learning, youth leadership, and sustainable community development.If you are passionate about strategic development, youth empowerment, and social innovation, and you want to help shape the next chapter of CEED Concordia’s global impact, we would love to hear from you.Application Instructions:Cover Letter – Outline your understanding of the assignment and your proposed approach/methodology (maximum 2 pages).CV(s) – Include the CV(s) of the key team member(s).
