The team works closely with Strategic Investment Steering (SIS) and Group Leaderstip Team to (GLT) evaluate investments, prepare funding recommendations and to track the delivery of committed investment benefits.Collaboration. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and that we imagine you share with us. What You’ll Be DoingMain responsibilities in this role: Steering the Technology Portfolio: Support prioritisation of technology funding across business areas, balancing customer experience, risk reduction, technology transformation, and regulatory obligations Supporting Strategic Decision Making: The Technology Investment Portfolio is a major enabler of our Group Strategy – we work closely with the Group Strategy Office to secure and align this impact Collaborating Across Nordea: Work closely with other functions such as Group Technology, Group Finance, and Group Risk to deliver a best-in-class investment process; engage with all Business Areas and Group Functions on their technology investment needs; discuss and support Senior Executives on crucial portfolio decisions via Strategic Investment Steering (SIS) and GLT Assessing and Challenging Investment Proposals: Evaluate business cases for major technology initiatives to ensure strategic alignment, commercial value and/or risk reduction Monitoring Performance and Value Realisation: Track the delivery and business impact of approved investments, ensuring lessons learned are captured to enhance future portfolio decisions You will be part of a dynamic team of 4 people with strong credentials in strategy and finance (from leadership positions in financial services, top tier management consultancies and the biggest Nordic companies).You will report to Philip Garner, Head of Group Investment Steering. While the team is primarily based in Helsinki, applications will also be considered from Copenhagen.Who You AreYour background and skills include: Strategic Technology Insight: Familiarity with trends in Technology, data, fintechs and experience from working with the technology change agenda Financial and Commercial Acumen: Skilled in interpreting business cases, ROI modelling, and total cost of ownership to guide sound investment decisions.Experience from Financial Services: Strong knowledge of the financial services industry, including major customer and regulatory developments Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to influence and build consensus across complex, matrixed organisations Problem-solving & insight: Mastering of data-driven problem solving and analytical skills, from structuring problems, to data analysis, financial modelling and market & competitive analysis, to developing the insight and devicing a solution Executive communication: Strong skills in executive communication (oral, written and visual), ability to summarise complex topics into simple messages that call for action – in particular, being able to communicate to senior executives and bridge across both business and technology Adaptability, Innovation and Resilience: Ability to thrive in unstructured, fast paced environment and to turn complex problems and insights from analysis into a solution with limited guidance The team and company working language is English – we expect fluency in English at professional level, while Nordic languages are a plus but not a requirement.What We OfferPeople come here when they want to get somewhere.
