Job: Traveling Superintendent – Mission Critical Location: Northern VirginiaDivision: Mission Critical Lead Critical Projects. Travel. Deliver Excellence. GBA Builders is seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent to join our Mission Critical team. This role is ideal for a proactive, self-motivated leader with experience in critical facility construction, such as data centers and telecom switch buildings. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and contractors while exercising autonomy in day-to-day operations.Travel is required, primarily within the Midwest, with occasional projects on either coast. Successful candidates are team players who thrive in fast-paced environments and contribute by offering thoughtful solutions and project efficiencies. What You’ll Do Coordinate and supervise design-build and bid-build projects for mission critical facilities. Collaborate with clients, design teams, and contractors to ensure project success. Foster a “Safety First” culture on all job sites. Implement quality control and quality assurance measures. Manage daily subcontractor activities and jobsite logistics. Collect, review, and submit shop drawings, product data, and test reports. Build and update construction schedules and short-term look-ahead schedules. Review estimates with operations teams to ensure logistical and site considerations are included. Supervise and coordinate M.O.P. (Method of Procedure) execution. Complete daily and weekly reports and maintain a photo journal of progress. What You Bring Degree in Construction Management or equivalent work experience. 7+ years of experience in construction field management or supervision. Experience in critical facility construction (preferred). Strong partnership approach to working with contractors, designers, and clients. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project scheduling. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills. Self-motivated with strong time management skills. Willingness and ability to travel as required.
