This role optimises warehouse processes, maintains accurate inventory data, and manages supplier relationships for timely material availability, whilst implementing best practicesMinimum Requirements:Grade 12 or equivalentCertificate or Diploma in Materials Management or relatedMinimum of 3 years’ experience on a supervisory level within the Materials Management Environment, preferably within the mining industryComprehensive component knowledge of mining machinery and equipmentBe declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employmentNOTE: all relevant certificates must be attached to your CV in order to be considered for shortlistingKey Competencies:Proven personal safety recordSound interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain a robust team and business relationships through ongoing engagement and collaborationStorekeeping/store control certificateProven track record of warehouse monitoring and stock controlWorking knowledge of MS Office, Material Management Systems and SAPProven diagnostic, problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skillsDisplay a high level of motivation and has a strong work ethicDisplay a high level of attention to detail and ensure accuracy in workAble to handle conflict, work under pressure and manage time effectivelyDuties and Responsibilities:Ensure Health and Safety of self and team members by applying relevant standards and procedures in all planning and execution of activitiesPerform inspections in accordance with the MHSA regulations and company standardsContribute to the culture of Zero Harm by adhering to all requirements as laid down by legislation, Health & Safety policies and procedures and by the application of specific instructions to own work area and task completionEnable efficient service delivery to Gold Field’s internal and external stakeholdersDevelop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholdersManage teams, suppliers/stakeholders in accordance with agreed SLA’s ensuring optimised delivery to the businessManage and coordinate direct materials management requirements and execute in accordance with Gold Fields’ policies and proceduresPlan and optimise warehouse and materials management activities to enable business continuityAdminister data in the materials management system, uphold the integrity of the stock data, and ensure that accurate information is available on reservations issued, stock received and current stock levelsParticipate in the audit of materials management processes and remedy findings to ensure best practice and mitigate risksClosing Date: 15 March 2026 Please note that the Gold Fields code of conduct strictly prohibits the exchange of any payment as part of its recruitment process.
