What's even more impressive is the team of extraordinary people taking off together day in day out, flight after flight.Our people are the real jet stars!Job DescriptionThe functions of the Supervisor SINDC is responsible for oversight of the SINDC store and storage of materials for Jetstar Airways. The scope includes oversight of inventory control, material handling, logistics coordination and managing the 3rd party vendor supporting SINDC.The role is also responsible for ensuring all appropriate spares are available at all external AMO facilities to support Heavy Maintenance activity and required regulatory compliance records are entered into the MIS TRAX and validated.Reporting to the Base Maintenance Support Manager, your main accountabilities will include:Safety and complianceResponsible for the safety of personal within SINDC and the surrounding area.Responsible for implementing Jetstar Safety standards.Responsible to ensure Stores & Receipt Compliance staff across the network are trained and assessed for competence and have approvals IAW AMOE P145.OperationalResponsible for ensuring AOG, CRITICAL and ROUTINE requisitions and transfer orders are actioned promptly to satisfy business requirementsFill in to action requisitions and transfer orders for increased volume or when the 3rd party vendor personnel are on leave.Responsible to perform regular surveillance audits and stock take ensuring material related transactions in TRAX are correct.Mailbox management of Transfer Orders and logistics requirementsCoordinate part movements to ensure availability for planned maintenance and defect rectification within Heavy Maintenance environmentResponsible for freight cost control and supplier management through a process of Vendor Management Meetings (supplier Performance Meetings) with correlating vendor KPIs.Project ManagementWork with the Base Management Support Manager to develop the appropriate materials strategy related to External MRO support in order to ensure value for money, high levels of service and compliance with procedures and professional best practice.Review all current material freight cost and MIN/MAX levels relating to Heavy Maintenance operations and ensure that the best outcome is being achievedStores and Logistics Continuous ImprovementReview and update the business procedure manuals such as Interface Procedure User Guides with the suppliers.Responsible to develop corrective and preventative actions from audit findings.Assist the Base Maintenance Support Manager to develop processes to ensure accuracy for materials holdings at all locations.Work with the Base Maintenance Support Manager and act as the POC to developing the appropriate materials strategy related to External MRO support in order to ensure value for money, high levels of service and compliance with procedures and professional best practice.Comply with the Group management system standards and associated policies in the workplaceBe a Safety LeaderDemonstrate commitment and leadership to OHS by participating in meetings, inspections, promotions and other appropriate activities Encourage and promote the involvement of all employees in achieving a safe and healthy workplace.Act with due care/consideration to safeguard own health and safety and that of others.Ensure compliance with safe working practicesBe fully conversant with and manage strict adherence to Group policy and procedures relating to contracts, legal obligations, standards of conduct, and remain compliant with Group Ethics and Standards.ReportingPOC to collect C-check material consumption and publish external maintenance quarterly materials consumption report.Provide inventory holdings report to Manager External Maintenance Base.Work with the Base Maintenance Support Manager to develop freight cost analysis per event and publish monthly.To be considered, we are seeking the following key attributes:A minimum of five years of procurement (purchasing or repairs) or logistics experience, preferably in an operational environmentEffective written and verbal communicationAn understanding of aircraft maintenance materialsA working knowledge of MIS and Microsoft Office applications5 Years relevant experience in Aviation Industry.Experience at a high capacity passenger transport operator/sExperienced team leaderStrong customer focusMust have the knowledge & skill to integrate all elements of the organisation to achieve goalsAbility to communicate & negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Knowledge of Departmental processes and procedures.Process driven, with experience in constructing new process’s to deliver business goals.Highly motivated and committed to continuous improvement.Punctual and reliable.Able to build effective working relationships, enjoy working in a team.Analytical ability using IT platforms.Proven problem solving skills and an effective team leader.Understanding of aircraft support systems including. TRAX, AIRMAN, AIRNAV, ROCADE, AHM, TOOLBOX, MBF and Microsoft Office applications
