Job Description

We are seeking a highly competent Marine Operations to support the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of gas carriers within the fleet. The role involves close engagement with vessels, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to uphold operational excellence and ensure continuous adherence to international maritime standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide operational support to the marine assurance function, including reviewing safety, inspection, and audit reports such as PSC findings, internal audits, near-miss submissions, incident notifications, and third-party inspection outcomes. Offer guidance to vessels on marine and safety-related matters as needed.Track and interpret updates to international and industry regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW), as well as requirements from classification societies, flag administrations, and commercial stakeholders. Plan and coordinate the implementation of these requirements across the fleet.Conduct internal vessel audits to assess compliance, identify areas for improvement, and validate the completion of corrective and preventive actions.Develop and deliver training programs for officers and crew to enhance safety, operational awareness, and regulatory compliance.Lead or participate in onboard safety, environmental, and security drills to evaluate preparedness and overall effectiveness.Review safety communications, operational feedback, and other reports submitted by vessels, providing follow-up actions where necessary.Carry out officer performance assessments and make recommendations for development, selection, or advancement.Support the broader marine and compliance functions by assisting with matters related to vessel safety, operational performance, and regulatory alignment.RequirementsMaster Mariner qualification with at least 1–2 years of command experience, preferably on gas carriers (e.g., ethylene, ethane, LPG).Prior shore-based experience is not mandatory.Willingness and ability to travel at short notice and maintain availability for operational matters around the clock.Strong capability in developing and implementing safe, efficient, and cost-effective vessel management procedures.Shubhi Dugar (R21100680)EA License Number: 23S1921
