Job Description

Direct or coordinate demand and supply forecasting, production planning, purchasing, warehousing, distribution and customer service related activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service and safety. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory.ResponsibilitiesPlan and implement the overall supply chain strategy.Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams.Determine key supply chain KPIs.Suggest solutions for process improvements.Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner.Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors.Build and maintain good relationships with vendors.Improve customer service experience, create engaged customers and facilitate growth.Take ownership of customers issues and follow problems through to resolution.Develop service procedures, policies and standards.Compile accurate reports and circulate to support sales analysis.Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.Coordinate with sales team to make effective sales forecasts in order to support operations with effective Production Planning & to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.Negotiate prices and terms with existing suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders. Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.New vendor development & Local sourcing.Select best transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.Manage activities of the customer service function along with post sales requirements in alignment with sales effectiveness objectives.Identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service and thereby customer satisfaction.Co-ordinate with inter-departments for analysing and closure of customer complaints and pain areas.Ensure compliance with health, safety and environment.
