TEAM LEAD - COMMERCIAL CONTRACTS

The Team Lead - Commercial Contracts will hold a pivotal role within our legal team, overseeing the review and drafting of commercial contracts, with a focus on Tenancy Agreements and other pertinent documents. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the banking or fintech sector, particularly in the review and drafting of commercial contracts.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Law. A Master’s degree in Business & Commercial Law and other relevant certifications will be advantageousMinimum of three (3) years’ experience in reviewing and drafting commercial contracts, preferably in the banking or fintech sectorCandidates called to the bar between the period of 2016 & 2017Sound knowledge of commercial, corporate, and financial lawsStrong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and writtenDetail-oriented with a strategic approach to risk assessmentProficiency in legal research and Microsoft Office SuiteKey Responsibilities:Oversee the review and drafting of commercial contracts, including Tenancy Agreements, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulationsLead negotiations with external parties to secure favorable terms and conditions in commercial agreementsProvide legal guidance and support to internal stakeholders on commercial contract mattersConduct legal research to stay updated on industry developments and regulatory changesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal issues and mitigate risksMentor and coach junior legal staff to enhance their contract drafting and negotiation skillsPowered by JazzHRkUadJwLGTL
