The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can balance technical expertise with effective team management. You will be instrumental in setting the technical direction, ensuring code quality, and fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Strategy:o  Provide technical guidance and leadership to a team of software engineers, serving as the go-to expert for technical decisions and problem-solving.o  Design and architect scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems, with a strong focus on AI/ML integration.o  Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and a clear project roadmap.      Team Management & Mentorship:o  Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing constructive feedback, support, and professional development opportunities.o  Foster a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.o  Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.Development & Operations:o  Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.o  Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and task delegation to ensure timely and successful project delivery.o  Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, acting as an escalation point for the team.Required Skills and QualificationsTechnical Expertise:o  Proven experience in a lead or senior engineering role, with a strong background in software development.o  Proficiency in modern programming languages relevant to our stack (e.g., Python and JavaScript/TypeScript).o  Develop responsive, high-performance, and accessible user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).o  Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional product features.o  Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems.o  Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable back-end code and APIs (e.g., REST, GraphQL).o  Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL like PostgreSQL, AWS OpenSearch & Redis) to ensure data integrity and optimize query performance.o  Experience with AI/ML technologies and frameworks is highly desirable.o  Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, Digital Ocean and Heroku) and technologies like NGINX, Docker and Kubernetes as well as DevOps practices (CI/CD, GitOps) and Cloud Engineering.Leadership & Soft Skills:o  Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to motivate and guide a team.o  Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a detail-oriented approach.o  Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).o  A passion for mentoring and a desire to see team members grow and succeed.Preferred Qualifications·      Experience working in a fast-paced startup or a dynamic tech environment.·      A portfolio of relevant projects or open-source contributions.·      Familiarity with databases and data-driven applications.·      Knowledge of security best practices (SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR).Why Join Us?At Applyquick.ai, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative products that have a real impact on people's lives.
