Technical Analyst (Accounting Focus)

This unique position will serve as the techno-functional liaison between our Accounting/Finance, Compliance, and IT departments. Excellent spoken and written English is a mandatory requirement, The successful candidate will be critical in optimizing our systems, ensuring data integrity, and aligning our technology solutions with complex regulatory and financial reporting requirements inherent to a Corporate Service Provider environment. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Finance SupportReporting: Design and optimize financial and management reports from systems to meet internal and external requirements (e.g., financial statements, regulatory filings, client billing, Monthly Management accounts for the company and its clients, VAT and corporation tax calculations and submissions). Proficiency with ZOHO Books a desirable. Data Integrity: Perform and manage financial data analysis, reconciliations, and data mapping activities to ensure consistency and accuracy across all financial systems. Process Improvement: Analyse existing accounting and operational workflows, identifying inefficiencies and proposing technology-driven solutions to enhance financial control, speed, and compliance. Financial Impact Analysis: Evaluate the financial and accounting impact of proposed system changes, new product lines, or regulatory shifts on existing platforms. Keeping both the Company Directors and its clients updated on relevant changes. Technical & Systems AnalysisRequirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders (Accountants, Compliance Officers, Operations) to define, document, and translate complex business needs, specifically related to accounting and regulatory reporting, into clear technical specifications for system configuration or development. System Ownership: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for accounting-related systems and modules (e.g., ERP, General Ledger, Billing, Client Management Systems). To work as the project owner for the company’s CRM and Banking integration platform. Testing & Quality Assurance: Design, execute, and document test cases (UAT and functional testing) for system upgrades, new module implementations, and fixes, ensuring financial integrity and accurate accounting treatment. Liaison & CommunicationBridge the Gap: Serve as the primary communication link between technical developers and non-technical finance/accounting users, ensuring mutual understanding and successful solution delivery. Training & Support: Develop training materials and conduct sessions for end-users on new financial system features, processes, and best practices. Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Information Systems, or a related field. Formal Accounting: Formal accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) or demonstrable deep, functional expertise in applying accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP). Experience: Ideally a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Technical Analyst, Business Analyst, or Functional Consultant role, with a strong focus on financial systems. Experience within a Corporate Service Provider (CSP), Fund Administrator, or Financial Services firm is highly desirable. Technical Acumen: Proven experience working with and configuring core accounting/ERP systems. Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities. Database/Data: Proficiency in SQL for querying and analysing data is a significant advantage.
