Technical Engineer - Design

We focus on delivering accurate and structurally sound designs, managing civil and infrastructure deliverables, and coordinating multi-discipline information. We support the design manager in planning and documentation and ensure timely and clear responses to queries. Our team is proactive, trustworthy, and aligned with ALEC values, striving for quality and reliability in every project.Your RoleAs a Technical Engineer, you will:Core Job Functions:Review Tender & IFC models (2D drawings, BIM models, asset data) as per ISO19650.Resolve design conflicts and take necessary actions (RFI, CVI, workshops).Manage Civil/Infrastructure deliverables during design and construction to meet contract objectives.Support design manager with submittal planning and documentation.Coordinate multi-discipline information, foresee constraints, and act accordingly.Prepare and raise RFIs & CVIs, ensuring clear responses.Assist in managing subcontractor works and identify technical deviations.Ensure modelers/draughtsmen have correct information for shop drawings and timely document submittals.Support design team in subcontractor coordination.Review and follow up on DFC, EI, or DCR.Review subcontractor's shop drawings for compliance.Maintain up-to-date drawing delivery schedule and ensure document publishing.Provide information for site queries and liaise with the Planning Department.Support Temporary Works coordinator and ensure accurate temporary works design.Ensure as-built/redline process accuracy and completeness.What We’re Looking ForQualifications: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a Senior Technical Engineer or similar role.Proficient in Revit softwareProficiency in Adobe Acrobat and MS OfficeKnowledge of Revizto/ Navisworks for design reviewGood written & Spoken English.What We OfferThe chance to contribute to some of the United Arab Emirates most iconic projects.A collaborative, supportive environment that values innovation and excellence.Opportunities for professional growth and career progression.This role is full time, and follows a Monday to Saturday work week, typical for project-based positions in our industryReady to join a team that ensures precise designs and effective coordination, aligning with ALEC values for quality and innovation?If you’re inspired by what you’ve read and believe you’re the right fit, we’d love to hear from you.Join ALEC Building and play a pivotal role in shaping a high-performing team that drives our success.Apply today and be part of something excellent!
