Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Technical Office Team Leader -Heavy Equipment to oversee the technical and administrative functions of our heavy equipment maintenance division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and executing maintenance strategies for a diverse fleet (including loaders, excavators, bulldozers, cranes, concrete batching plants, and pumps), analyzing performance data, controlling costs, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. A key part of this role involves budgeting and optimizing operational expenditures.Responsibilities :Develop and implement comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules (weekly, monthly, yearly) based on equipment operational hours and OEM recommendations.Prepare the initial draft of the department's annual operational budget (OPEX), forecasting costs for spare parts, labor, outsourced maintenance, and other operational expenses.Monitor stock levels of spare parts and consumables, maintaining accurate real-time records.Generate and process purchase requisitions for parts and materials upon reaching minimum stock levels to prevent shortages.Assign tasks to the technical team and meticulously monitor their progress and completion.Verify the quality and specifications of spare parts used in all maintenance operations.Review and analyze daily reports from the maintenance team (Work Orders, breakdown reports).Analyze key equipment performance data (MTBF, MTTR, Direct & Indirect Operating Costs per equipment/hour, Availability rates, etc.).Monitor actual spending against the approved budget, analyze variances, and propose corrective actions.Prepare and present detailed weekly and monthly performance reports on fleet status, maintenance costs, and downtime to management.Identify recurring issues and propose/implement root cause solutions to reduce costs.Create and maintain a complete technical and financial file for each asset (maintenance history, breakdowns, consumption, cumulative costs).Update and ensure the availability of Operation & Maintenance Manuals and service guides for the technical team.Actively contribute to developing and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all maintenance processes, aiming to reduce costs and increase productivity.Qualifications :Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Production Engineering).5 to 7 years of practical experience in heavy equipment operation and maintenance in construction field, with proven experience in a Technical Office role.Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel for advanced analysis, pivot tables, and financial modeling). Experience with CMMS software is a significant advantage.Experience in preparing operational budgets and controlling costs.Strong knowledge and understanding of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diesel engines in heavy equipment.Strong analytical skills with a data-driven decision-making approach.Proven leadership skills to effectively lead and motivate a team.About EDECS:EDECS is a leading organization with 30 years of experience in marine constructions, infrastructure, earthworks, and transportation projects in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, employing more than 2,000 employees.
