Technical Processing Engineer

Join the Castleblayney team as our Technical Processing Engineer!Overview Of The Technical Processing Engineer PositionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Processing Engineer to join the Operations department at our Castleblayney site in Ireland, on a full time permanent basis.You will ensure continuous production of insulation boards by optimizing chemical processes for cost and quality. You will review the MRP system to secure raw material supply, collaborate with suppliers, and maintain compliance with chemical regulations.Main Responsibilities of our Technical Processing EngineerResponsible for chemical & process expertise to ensure continuous production of insulation board.Review Material requirements planning (MRP) system and react to changes in raw material requirements to ensure continuity of supply and correct levels of inventory are maintained.Collaborate with supplier on raw material issues.Responsible for optimizing the process chemistry and process methods to maintain a lead in terms of lowest cost of production while maintaining quality and technical standards.Awareness of chemical regulations, such as REACH (Registration Evaluation Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) and responsibility for providing SDS information before any new chemicals are brought onto site.Corrective action instigation accountable in the event of product failures (attributable to processing).What we are looking for in our Technical Processing Engineer:You will have:Chemical Engineering Degree or a related engineering qualification.Work experience in a similar role within a manufacturing process environment.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Experience of working with and understanding ISO and SHE legislation.Excellent organizational and strong workload prioritization skills.Experience of working with various IT programs i.e. MS Word, Excel.What we can offer you: Competitive annual leave plus bank holidaysCompetitive salaryContributory pension schemeLife assuranceEmployee Assistance ProgrammeCycle to work schemeDiscounted health careWhy join Kingspan Insulation?We are entrepreneurial, collaborative, and we stand behind a common cause - better buildings for a better world.
