Job Description

Our client, an NGO that works tirelessly across developing nations to strengthen education systems, ensuring access, equity, and excellence in learning for all, is looking to hire a Human Resource Advisor to join their team. The Human Resource Advisor will guide all employees through their lifecycle in the organization from attracting, recruiting and onboarding staff, their continuous development during their career to their off boarding. Key Tasks And ResponsibilitiesThe HR Advisor will be the go-to person for employees with any HR related questions they may have.

Prepare the monthly payroll and be a gatekeeper for the organization's HR policies and guidelines ensuring they are in-line with local legislation, whilst operationalizing the Global HR Strategy and policiesCoordinate all HR related matters to attract and retain high performing and motivated personnelManage HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, wellbeing, contract management, employee engagement and offboardingAct as a contact and resource person for all HR related matters for employees and managersLiaise with the payroll provider to ensure that employees are paid correctly and on time monthlyProvoke and support learning in the Zambia team.

Develop and monitor the professional development plans, addressing the organization's global team and individual learning needsProvide advice/guidance in developing, implementing, and monitoring local organizational HR policies, procedures, and practices and ensure those policies are in-line with local legislation and the Global HR Strategies and PoliciesKeep abreast of legislation and new HR practices to continuously strengthen the HR functionRequirementsMaster's degree in human resource management, Public Administration, Psychology or other relevant field or equivalent experience5+ years' experience as an HR Generalist, including recruitment, performance management, compensation, training and development and HR administrationProven sense of professional discretion, integrity, and ability to manage situations diplomatically and to effective resolutionExcellent, interpersonal and negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to promote harmonious/cohesive teamwork, in a cross-cultural contextStrong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is requiredFluent in EnglishMust be a Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management with a valid practicing licenseHow To ApplyPlease visit our job portal to apply before 25th August 2025.
