Transport Team Leader

Job Purpose: Coordinate the planning and design of transportation operations to ensure fast, reliable, and cost-effective shipment of goods from origin to destination, while meeting customer and market-specific requirements.Main responsibilities: Coordinate plans and processes for transportation operations. Mentor team members in executing daily tasks and achieving targets. Oversee the forwarding department, including sales, administration, and capacity planning. Develop route plans and loading schedules, maximize consolidation levels, and adjust plans as needed based on scheduling changes. Monitor subcontractor performance against set standards. Ensure the availability of transportation capacities for logistics operations. Identify and establish partnerships with new market players. Maintain and update databases of carriers and pricing information. Facilitate effective communication with carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders. Experience in team leadership and motivating others. Previous experience in the transportation sector is required. Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
