Treasury Accountant – Zanzibar, TanzaniaLocation: Stone Town, ZanzibarCompany: Infinity DevelopmentsEmployment Type: Full-timeDepartment: Finance & TreasuryAbout the RoleInfinity Developments is seeking a meticulous and analytical Treasury Accountant to oversee all treasury, cash flow, and banking operations for our Zanzibar-based entities. The ideal candidate will ensure liquidity across multiple projects, maintain tight cash controls, manage relationships with financial institutions, and support strategic financial planning for our hospitality, real estate, and F&B divisions.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage daily cash balances, bank accounts, and cash positions across all business units.Prepare and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational and project needs.Oversee all banking transactions, reconciliations, and treasury documentation in compliance with company policies.Manage foreign exchange transactions, ensuring optimal conversion rates and minimizing currency exposure.Reconcile intercompany transfers between Zanzibar and Dubai-based entities.Ensure timely supplier and payroll disbursements, maintaining strong internal controls.Liaise with local and international banks, auditors, and financial partners.Support month-end and year-end closing with treasury-related journal entries and reconciliations.Maintain and regularly update a detailed cash position report for management review.Assist in the development and implementation of treasury policies, procedures, and financial risk management strategies.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA qualification preferred).Minimum 3–5 years of treasury or accounting experience, ideally within hospitality, real estate, or multi-entity operations.Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.Strong understanding of cash flow management, banking processes, and financial controls.Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Must be based in or willing to relocate to Zanzibar, Tanzania.
