JOB TITLE: Upper Egypt Supply Chain Assistant TEAM/PROGRAMME: Supply Chain LOCATION: Minya, Egypt GRADE: 5 TYPE OF CONTRACT: National staff- Fixed TermCHILD SAFEGUARDING: (select only one)Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.Role PurposeThe position holder will be responsible for Upper Egypt office supply chain, including procurement, fleet, and assets activities in consistency with Save the Children policies and procedures.Scope Of RoleReports to: Upper Egypr Supply Chain Officer.Staff directly reporting to this post: None.Key Areas Of Accountability Assists staff as needed in creating clear and understandable procurement plans through the PRIME system.Ensures that the Upper Egypt filed office fleet is performing optimally (efficiency and effectiveness) and in adherence to good fleet management practices as well as in compliance with SCI fleet policy and other legal requirements. Manage Upper Egypt field office asset register, ensure it is up-to-date and contains all the required information in accordance with SCI and donors’ procedures. Receive records and proceed with all Purchase requests for all supply chain activities for the projects. Search for new vendors who can provide items required for the projects and update vendor lists as required. Write and format correspondence during all phases of formal committees and tenders. Update the filing system of contracts and tenders and lists of follow-up procedures for the implementation of contracts. Communicate and follow up with vendors for any information clarification related to the purchase request or order, or that relates to the technical specifications and special conditions. Maintain the weekly supply chain Tracker.Support the supply chain officer in finalizing all procurement activities. High computer skills on MS office programs especially MS Excel. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching. Highly developed facilitation and capacity building skills. Good communication and writing skills in English language is required.
