There’s space for you to tell us what you need within our application form.Our BenefitsAbout The RoleThe role is based in the Venues Team which provides a customer focused, proactive and transparent Public Venue support service for the community over multiple sites within the London Borough of Hounslow.You will support the General Manager (Public Venues) in delivering a smooth and efficient service for customers of the Public Venues. Support the venue team with all aspects of event planning, on site delivery, invoicing and post event analysis.The role works closely with the facilities management service with regards to maintaining a welcoming and safe building for customers and staff.This role will require some weekend and evening work as part of your working week.Key Responsibilities: To accurately operate a range of payment systems, taking customer payments. To ensure that all information relating to Venue hire is checked and authorised, and privacy protected.Ensure all customer sales and bookings are managed promptly and correctly under our Service Level Agreement. Assisting customers in their choices, liaising with relevant technicians and other services, supporting the right choice of venue for each customer.To work on site as part of the venues management service with regards to, controlling, maintaining and reporting Health & Safety and Fire Safety issues at venues at all times.About The Team You’ll Be Working InThe Public Halls (Venues) team deliver events and bookings across the Borough, primarily at Chiswick Town Hall, Isleworth Public Hall and Feltham Assembly Hall. You know how to communicate, expertly, both with customers and with your team. We as a team need to deliver on our promise and function to our community and customers, always with transparency and following a fair for all approach. You have great attention to detail and can prioritise tasks and manage your time effectively. The Public Halls have a busy calendar so we need to be meticulous in our records and time keeping to ensure we provide a smooth service. The Council comes with an opportunity to grow and progress. You will have a desire to further develop and train and take on extra responsibility in the future as the service and team evolves. You have an understanding of safe event management and work practices and put health and safety at the front of all that you do in the role.Knowledge And Experience: Experience in the leisure or hospitality industry desirable. Understanding of relevant health and safety and employment legislation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence and persuade. A strong understanding of customer service in events. A background in leisure, event planning, booking systems desirable.
